A small patch in a rewarding Neighbourhood

night

20 years and still here

I can still remember the day we first viewed this property. We were notified by the agent before the owner returned. We made an offer that night. At the time, there was nothing but a shed, a water tank, and a lemon tree. One of the many highlights was getting hot water, electricity, and a septic system. Over the years, we’ve raised chickens, sheep (Dorpers), Border Collies, goats (never again), and alpacas (also never again)—each with its own story. I’ve also developed a deep love for trees; watching them grow over the past 20 years has been incredibly rewarding. If you dislike fresh air, quiet nights, sunny days, rainwater for drinking, open spaces, starry nights, wood fires, planting your own vegetables, and raising your own meat, then Bullsbrook may not be for you. We still visit the flatlands now and then, and it only reinforces the fact that we made the right decision 20 years ago. This website is more of a hobby—something we’ve built to share our experiences with new owners. It includes recommendations for contractors we’ve found to be the best. When we started, a few contractors never showed up, but we’ll gladly tell you who did. We’d like to thank our neighbors for putting up with us over the years. There are a few stories there that will remain private. If you have any ideas to improve this website, please feel free to email us. We value your feedback, especially regarding the best contractors to use.
